The Collective Womb
Join us for a night of mythmaking, celebration, and reproductive justice on Governor's Island.
The Collective Womb is a matriarchal creation story in which abortion is recognized as a natural exchange of energy between the body and the earth. Staged on a large mound of soil, the performance celebrates the macro-scale creative power of our planet and the micro-scale creative power of each individual womb. This immersive production will include puppetry, dance, womb cookies, earth worship, and live music. BYOBlankets for sitting in the grass!
The production is in partnership with Climate Imaginarium and Earth Matter.
