​Build something magical to give away on Christmas Day ✨

​Whether you're building a personalised game for your kids, a fun little app for your partner, a custom card, or something completely unexpected, spend the day creating something from scratch that you can wrap up and gift.

​What's this all about?

​We're trying something new! Instead of "bring your own project," we're giving everyone the same creative prompt and teaching you the tools to bring it to life. This is not a tech-only event. If you can use a computer, you can build something today.

​We've partnered with AI Builders (Glasgow's thriving community exploring practical AI applications) to bring beginner-friendly buildathons to Dundee. You'll learn practical AI and no-code tools that actually work, then use them to create something real.

​No blank page. No scary technical knowledge required. Just curiosity and a few hours to play.

​Why the change from Makers Gonna Make?

​We loved the energy of MGM, but we heard you: "bring your own project" can feel like a barrier, especially if you're new to building. Partnering with AI Builders lets us tap into an established community while making buildathons more accessible to everyone, especially non-technical founders and curious beginners.

​And why Sundays now? Feedback told us that Saturdays were tricky for families. Sundays give you space to tinker without the weekend rush.

​This is an experiment. We want to hear what works, what doesn't, and what you'd like to build next time.
