My First Bitcoin: Education Is Freedom

​Join My First Bitcoin at PubKey for an evening exploring how grassroots Bitcoin education is growing into a global movement for freedom, opportunity, and self-sovereignty.

​We’ll screen a documentary capturing what Bitcoin adoption looks like on the ground — through the educators, communities, and local leaders using open-source education to help people better understand money, Bitcoin, and their own financial agency.

​Following the screening, My First Bitcoin founder John Dennehy, members of the organization, and special guests will share the story behind My First Bitcoin, how the movement has grown from its roots in El Salvador into a global network of independent educators and communities, and why education sits at the heart of meaningful Bitcoin adoption.

​We’ll discuss the connection between Bitcoin, education, freedom, and self-sovereignty — and what it takes to build a movement that empowers people to think independently, take greater ownership of their financial lives, and bring that knowledge back to their own communities.
