About Event

An invite-only evening looking at one of the defining questions of the next decade.

How does the UK, and Europe more broadly, build a working partnership with Taiwan's semiconductor base? And what can we learn from the US, which has spent the last decade getting closer to it than anyone?

Taiwan operates the world's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing base. Europe is emerging with a strong AI and tech ecosystem, housing a raft of scale-ups with serious growth potential. The question is how those two realities meet, at a moment when sovereign compute and AI infrastructure sit firmly on the international policy agenda.

Format will be arrivals and drinks, an opening dialogue, a moderated panel, then networking through to close.

Who'll be there: A curated mix of UK deep-tech founders and scale-ups, Taiwanese semiconductor and foundry leaders visiting for London Tech Week, Tier 1 investors, and select policy and corporate guests. The guest list will be highly selective.

Speakers:

  • Vivek Raghuraman, Founder of Silicon Photonics start-up Mixx Technologies, who leads teams across US, India, and Taiwan, having worked at Intel, Broadcom and more previously

  • Josh Liu, Founder of Silicon Gateway, GTA Semiconductor, and several tech start-ups, a key figure in UK-Taiwan semicon ties

  • Pamela Hsieh, Founding Partner of Pachama Capital, former Alibaba and investor in OpenAI, Anthropic & Canva

...and more.

Hosts: Systemiq Capital, an early-stage venture firm backing audacious founders redefining the physical economy; GTA Semiconductor, the semiconductor arm of Global Tech Advocates, connecting the UK and global semi ecosystem; and Orrick, global law firm and longstanding partner to the UK deep-tech ecosystem.

Registration is by approval.
