Berlin. Design Skills for the Future: What to Learn & How to Practice
AI keeps changing the tools. But what actually makes us better designers?
New models, workflows, and creative possibilities emerge almost every week. Yet keeping up with every new tool isn't the same as growing as a designer.
So which skills will really matter in the future? Which ones are becoming more valuable? And how can we practice them today?
On November 19, Projector Global Community Berlin and SAP Berlin Design Hub are bringing Berlin's design and tech community together to explore exactly that.
Expect four short talks from design professionals, a little hands-on magic, and honest conversations about what it takes to grow as a designer.
Less AI hype. More skills, practice, and real experience.
What Is It?
An evening of short talks, an interactive activity, and conversations about the skills designers need to thrive as technology and AI reshape their work.
Together, we'll explore:
Which design skills are becoming more valuable — and which are changing?
How can we distinguish meaningful shifts in design from the latest AI hype?
What does AI make easier, and where is human judgment still essential?
How do we move beyond learning tools to developing stronger ways of thinking and working?
How can we actually practice future-ready skills in our everyday work?

How to Thrive as a Designer When AI Keeps Changing Our Job
AI tools and workflows are evolving faster than designers can keep up. But how do we distinguish meaningful changes from the hype?
Drawing on her experience at Meta, Anna will share practical ways to navigate uncertainty, identify skills worth investing in, and turn AI experimentation into real design expertise.
Because mastering the latest tool isn't the same as becoming a better designer.
