​What you’ll do

• ​Pick a real EdTech problem grounded in Southeast Asia

• ​Break it down into system logic

• ​Build a working prototype

• ​Demo it live

​This is execution under constraint.

​Idea tracks to get you started (optional):

• ​Multilingual Learning Assistant — build a voice tutor that understands Vietnamese, Thai, or Bahasa

• ​Real-Time Classroom Assist — live explanations, summaries, translations during lessons

• ​Student Engagement & Struggle Detection — identify confusion, disengagement, or learning gaps from voice signals

• ​Voice Layer for EdTech Platforms — add voice input/output to any learning app in one API call

​*Feel free to go off-script and build something original for real-world university use.

​Over the weekend, you will:

• ​Identify a real EdTech problem grounded in Southeast Asia

• ​Break it down into system-level logic

• ​Build and iterate toward a working product

​What’s at stake

• ​Up to 5 builders will be selected for internship or full-time opportunities with VALSEA.

​Top 3 winners will also receive Agora credits:

• ​1st place: $500

• ​2nd place: $300
