COAST Lunch and Learn: Working with Underwater Video
COAST's Lunch & Learn: Working with Underwater Video
Learn how to search, view, annotate, share and download video via SeaTube from Ocean Networks Canada's massive video archives, which contain recorded footage from remotely operated vehicle dives and cameras installed at fixed locations on the seafloor.
SeaTube is an easy-to-use video annotation system utilizing either archived or real-time/live streaming video. It provides support for unlimited, geographically separated groups of users who can simultaneously apply annotations to the video stream.
The resulting archive is fully searchable, allowing users to easily locate and bookmark and download video clips of interest, static images, annotations, and related sensor data.
In this session, you will get an overview of SeaTube and learn how to use some exciting newly released capabilities for working with fixed-location camera recordings.
Your session host is Vanessa Stewart, Project Manager at Ocean Networks Canada. She oversees product development for SeaTube, consolidating feedback from users and working with the talented group of software developers who bring SeaTube to life. Vanessa loves seeing how scientists, educators and ocean enthusiasts can collaborate and learn in one space.
This session is hybrid—join us online or in person at the Ocean Innovation Hub (517 Herald Street, Victoria BC) for your monthly dose of knowledge, connection, and inspiration!
