Founders and Leaders of Dotslash Start and Scaleups need to convince people constantly. When securing investors and customers, but also when attracting new talent. Strategic storytelling brings focus and trust and makes complex ideas clear and memorable. This training helps leaders bring their vision to life.
The goal of the training is to combine theory and practice and to help the group master the key concepts together. It is important to understand how and why this way of presenting is so powerful. The emphasis will be on applying and discussing the techniques so that participants can use them in their own environment after the session. Before the training, each participant will be asked to prepare the opening part of the session (see assignment). At the start of the training, participants will introduce themselves in a unique way. Apart from this opening, no further preparation is needed.
The second part of the training will start with practical insights, after which we will move into the background and theory of WHY strategic storytelling works.
This training has been given on several occassions by Venturise - Commercial Excellence (Nyenrode Exec MBA, The Chain of Innovation and at Salesforce). Now, you're free to join this training at dotslash. Be quick as there will be only 10 seats available.

Storytelling in Practice
Each contributor (max 10) will share a 5 min story. There is limited time needed for prep. Everyone has a passion. Music? Vinyl or an instrument? Or maybe a sport? This assignment requires you to use your creativity. We ask you to explain your passion and why it matters to you in a maximum of 5 minutes. It is required to bring an object. Bring something that directly or indirectly represents this passion. No slides. Why are you so passionate about this topic? During the start of your story, explain who you are and give a short background, but keep this part brief (about 1 minute). While you present, the other participants take notes. It is not about right or wrong, but about understanding what resonates in your story. What makes the story powerful in their eyes?

Strategic Storytelling - Why it works : Theory, Background, Practical Insights
We'll start with practical storytelling insights. Then, we'll move into the Theory and Background of Storytelling (i.e. Neuro Science). We'll explain Why and How it works and give you guidance on how to put things in practice.

You only need to spend 5 minutes at the start of the training to inspire us with a story about something you're passionate about. Its required to bring an object to the training that symbolizes this! The only preparation we need is "creativity".
