Generating Ideas and Breakthroughs with Play (10/1)
What do Richard Feynman and Pixar have in common? They both achieved their greatest work through their sense of play. The most impressive and magnetic ideas and breakthroughs often come from a sense of internal expansion in following your joy and wonder.
Do you feel stuck in your ideas or feel like you're in a rut in your work or career? Have you felt easy access to play and joy in your personal life but aren't sure how to integrate it with your work life? Do you just love creativity and play and want another space to practice?
Come delve into your creativity, wonder, and joy with an experienced improviser and artist who coaches groups and individuals in following their own creative flow. We'll talk about why creativity and play are more effective in generating great work than KPIs and value metrics. We'll do some exercises to find our somatic creativity, unlock our imaginations, and align with our own unique playfulness.
Finally, we'll do live coaching with a few people who have ideas or blocks they'd like to tackle using the tools we just learned. This will be an inspirational and engaging workshop for the professional who wants to be more in touch with the joy in their work. No improvisation or other arts experience needed.

Speaker Information: Avi Love (she/they)
Avi Love (she/they) is a coach and facilitator in art and creativity, as well as in gender, sexuality, and relationships. She grew up immersed in both the art and tech worlds, and her career has ranged from computer animation, game design, writing, photography, music, and improvisation. She interweaves her decades of experience in improv with her deep knowledge of the creative process to help individuals and groups bring to life their wildest imaginings and ambitions.
