About Event

After a popular debut at DC Climate Week 2025, ImagineEarth Collective is back with an expanded, one-month version of "A Persistent Nature", this time at Gallery B in Bethesda. Join us for our closing night – an evening of art, free wine, an auction, and plenty of conversation about how art can reconnect us with nature to catalyze action for our planet.

"A Persistent Nature" is rooted in the fact that both nature and art are borne of persistence. Both involve tireless experimentation, iteration and growth. Nature itself can be considered the world’s greatest artist, utilizing the elements to create masterpieces just as we – as artists – use shape, color, line, texture, value, and form to create our work. “A Persistent Nature” considers these commonalities from the perspective of our artists, who are persevering amid a D.C. community undergoing change, challenge and volatility. In persisting, our members and their works prompt visitors to interrogate how they can practice their own versions of persistence for the benefit of the environment – whether that be through individual action, advocacy or policy.

“A Persistent Nature” is curated by ImagineEarth Collective, a DC-based group of creatives who imagine better futures for our planet. We present works as a vehicle for change, discussion and community around environmental topics and are composed of individuals from many different perspectives and areas of expertise, including scientists, researchers, and communications specialists.

This exhibition is hosted by Gallery B, managed by the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District! The gallery, a non-profit arts space, is available to interested artists and arts organizations for one-month rentals.
