H2O Lounge | EU
We are delighted to invite you to the H2ϴ Lounge – Blue Citizenship Edition, a full-day civic experience that transforms ocean literacy into participatory action.
✦ About the Day
Each H2ϴ Lounge brings together youth, educators, creatives, and citizens for a hands-on civic journey:
Co-create the Blue Citizenship Flag – an algae-dyed symbol of community commitment on seaweed textiles.
Dialogue on local water issues – shaping a collective pledge to the EU Mission Charter.
Youth-led inspiration – during a Listen & Learn with Blue Schools and Youth4Ocean partners.
Taste the future – closing with a Blue Foods experience featuring regional algae-based ingredients.
✦ About the Project
The H2ϴ Lounge – Blue Citizenship Edition is a mobile civic space designed to make ocean literacy tangible, participatory, and rooted in place. Through public installations across five European regions, the project invites citizens to explore their rights and responsibilities toward water through art, education, and co-creation.
At its heart is the Blue Citizenship Flag—a living, algae-dyed artwork collaboratively created by each local community and tied to a collective pledge to the EU Mission Charter. By engaging youth, educators, creatives, and the broader public, the Lounge bridges science, culture, and civic engagement—offering a replicable model for civic participation and awareness.
