The Spiritual World in the Eyes of Rudolf Steiner [public]
Rudolf Steiner is an incredible philosopher and mystic with an immense body of work and a highly original thought.
His work touches an all areas of human life, from politics, to agriculture, to education, medicine, energy work, poetry, science, and much more. He offers perspectives on the grandest cosmic mysteries to the most mundane of life's questions (e.g: do journalists benefit more from coffee or tea?).
I think he's severely underrated and more people need to be exposed to him. In this talk I will discuss some of the ideas that have really struck me.
Outline:
How to work towards clairvoyance without going insane (Steiner's six subsidiary exercises)
The workings of sensory vs. spiritual imagination
The "old and new yoga": how Steiner differentiates himself from other spiritual practices
How to perceive the divine ideas hidden in nature (growth, decay, and seed exercises)
Eurythmy: the spiritual forces of different phonemes and how we can become intimiate with them through movement
Morality: moral imagination, moral intuition, and what it means to act morally in this world
