BRUSSELS | Ceramics Workshop with Studio Plombir: Sea Creatures
Ceramics Workshop with Studo Plonbir: sea creatures
Hosted in partnership with Julia Kushnarenko
📍Studio Plombir | 6 Rue des Brasseurs, Brussels
🗓 May 10, 2026
🕛 12:30 - 15:00
Enter a dreamlike underwater world and sculpt your own sea creatures in clay—octopuses, shells, and other imagined marine forms.
An intimate, tactile experience where raw material is slowly transformed by hand, then adorned with soft, painterly engobes.
Guided with care, this moment invites you to slow down, create, and reconnect with the quiet beauty of making.
💎Your ticket includes:
All clay and hand-building materials
Guidance through shaping and decorating techniques
Ceramic paints (engobes)
Firing of your finished piece in the studio kiln
Tea and coffee served during the workshop
Once the pieces are formed, each creative will decorate their work using ceramic paints (engobes), adding colour, depth, and character. By the end of the workshop, you will have created a unique ceramic piece, ready to be fired in the studio kiln.
No previous experience with clay is required. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and designed to offer space for creativity, conversation, and the simple pleasure of making something by hand.
Your pieces will be ready within 3–4 weeks, as they undergo two firings to ensure they are fully finished and food-safe.
The workshop is led by Belgian artist Julia Kushnarenko, in her studio Plombir, located in the heart of Brussels. Julia has been working with clay for over six years and continuously develops her multidisciplinary practice, often combining ceramics with film and performance.
