Sustainable Agricultural Data and Decision Landscape Evaluator soft launch

​There are a lot of tools in sustainable agriculture: measurement platforms, models, farm-management systems, MRV tools, carbon calculators, water tools, traceability platforms, and more. The challenge is increasingly not finding a tool. It’s figuring out which tool is actually right for the job you’re trying to do, and understanding what data, methods, and other systems need to sit around it.

​We’re hosting a small Call of the Wild to soft launch the Sustainable Agricultural Data & Decision Landscape Evaluator, an open resource designed to help connect real decisions and use cases with the data, methods, models, and tools that can support them.

​We’ll walk through a few practical examples of how the landscape can be used, pressure-test where it works and where it falls short, and talk about how to make the underlying data openly available. Most importantly, this is meant to be collaborative: we want tool providers and tool users in the room to challenge the assumptions, improve the connections, and help shape something that can become genuinely useful shared infrastructure.

​This isn’t a product showcase or a ranking of tools. The goal is to make it easier for people to understand the landscape, ask better questions, and avoid reaching for the wrong tool for the job.

​To keep the conversation practical and candid, participation is limited to people at organizations that develop these tools or actively use, evaluate, procure, or integrate them.
