⭐ Designsystemet – Why You Shouldn't Build Your Own Design System
A case for why organisations should build less themselves, and how a shared design system foundation solves common problems, creates recognisable behaviours, and contributes to digital inclusion. The talk covers Designsystemet's approach of building on the web platform – prioritising native HTML, CSS and browser behaviour – with practical examples of how this makes components more predictable, flexible and composable, and a takeaway on which parts of a design system are actually worth owning yourself.

⭐ OpenBridge – Designing the Multimodal Industrial Workplace
Unifying digital, physical, and sensory design for fundamentally safer industrial operations. This talk covers the OpenBridge vision of the workspace as a complete, safety-driven operational ecosystem; the operational context of extreme environments, multi-screen setups, and multi-user collaboration; a showcase of advanced instruments built to meet high-stakes operational challenges; and system-wide scalability – unifying everything from software widgets to physical throttle under a single design language.

⭐ Equinor – Teach AI Your Design System
AI doesn't inherit your design system's logic. It doesn't know if your type scale is generated by a formula, or that some values sit deliberately off-grid to be optically aligned – the algorithm is canonical, but only once you've taught a machine what that means. This talk explores how algorithmic design and spec-driven component development make that logic explicit – specs and contracts as what the agent reads, and Skills as how it persists across sessions – with evidence from a real token system reproduced with Claude Code. The goal isn't a simple system a machine can handle, but teaching a machine a mature one.
