About Event

The Event

Join the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre (HRC) in Sustainable Innovation at Science Creates, Bristol for a dedicated event designed to help HealthTech innovators, researchers, start‑ups and SMEs unlock the next stage of their development journey. Whether you’re shaping an early concept or preparing for real‑world testing, you’ll gain the practical insights and partnerships needed to accelerate your innovation.

You’ll also experience how partnering with our HRC can help you develop, test and validate technologies that deliver impact and meet real NHS needs.

Agenda

The event will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm and will include:

  • Keynote sessions: Hear from experts across the NIHR, HRC, NHS and academic partners on innovation pathways, collaboration opportunities and how to succeed in HealthTech.

  • Innovation arena: Opportunities to pitch or demo your technology to an expert panel and receive constructive, practical feedback to help shape your innovation*.

  • Interactive workshops: Hands-on themed sessions from navigating the regulatory landscape to how to incorporate sustainability and meaningful patient and public involvement.

  • Speed mentoring: Book a 1:1 session with our team to discuss specific project needs, challenges and collaboration opportunities.

  • Information and resources: Learn more about how the NIHR HRC can support you through co-development, real-world evaluation and adoption pathways.

The final agenda and speaker line‑up will be announced shortly. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Please note: Spaces are limited, and registration approval is required. Priority will be given to invited organisations, innovators aligned with HRC theme areas and those seeking meaningful partnership and long-term collaboration.

Venue information

​The venue address will be sent to approved registered guests via email. Please note that parking is not available on site, except for those with accessibility requirements. The venue is a 10-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station and close to local bus routes on Old Market Street and Temple Way. Should you need to drive, the nearest pay and display car park is at Gardiner Haskins.

​The venue is fully-accessible with step-free access, gender-neutral private bathrooms and a hearing loop available upon request.
