As design organisations scale, the hidden cost of research is no longer the work itself, but the operational overhead around it. Managing tools, recruitment, ethics, and navigating legal, security, and procurement can quietly consume huge amounts of time that should be spent doing research.
In this talk, Weiyan will explore why ResearchOps should be treated as essential infrastructure, helping teams reduce duplication, lower friction, and create the conditions for high-quality research at scale.

As AI reshapes how products are built, product designers are increasingly well placed to become founders. Designers are trained to spot unmet needs, navigate ambiguity, and connect user insight to product direction, but becoming a founder means stepping beyond feature delivery and taking ownership of outcomes, strategy, and growth.
In this talk, Faria will share what changes when designers move into founding roles, what skills carry over, and why this shift matters more than ever in the age of AI.
