This CLE program will deliver perspectives on regulatory direction and outline the strategic dimensions of climate-related financial risk disclosure. It is intended to equip lawyers, accountants, and compliance professionals with the background needed to navigate the shifting regulatory landscape.

• California’s climate accountability provisions, including SB253 and SB261
• Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework overview: Exploration of the TCFD’s four pillars – Governance, Strategy, Risk Management, and Metrics and Targets – and how they align with California’s disclosure mandates
• New York’s climate bills, including S9072A, S3697, and S3697A
• Strategic reporting and best practices: Guidance on ways to develop enterprise-wide climate disclosure strategies, integrate cross-functional collaboration, and leverage existing data and frameworks to ensure robust and compliant reporting
