Literary Dinner on AI & Society
What happens when AI begins to reshape not only how we live and work, but how we understand ourselves and the world around us? Join Lit Club NYC and Summit Books for an intimate literary dinner at Parcelle Chinatown exploring AI & Society through literature, conversation, and community.
Over dinner and wine, guests will move through thoughtful, guided discussions examining some of the defining questions of our technological moment: How is AI changing the way we think, create, connect, and relate to one another? What do we gain through technological progress and what might we risk losing?
Each guest is invited to bring a text—a book, essay, article, poem, or other piece of writing—that speaks to how AI is reshaping their understanding of themselves and the world. Together, we'll share and discuss these selections, using literature as a starting point for a broader conversation about technology, creativity, consciousness, power, and what it means to be human.
We'll also read a selected passage from Siang Lu’s Ghost Cities, using the novel as an additional lens through which to deepen and complicate our conversation.
Expect a beautiful evening of books, ideas, conversation, and community—designed for curious readers interested in making sense of our rapidly changing world together.
