Build Night is your in-person on-ramp to the Call for Code AI hackathon. Come learn the tracks, meet potential teammates, ask the organizers anything, and start shipping, all in one evening. Whether you've already started or haven't written a line of code, you'll leave with momentum.

June 11 → Hackathon launched: build solo or form a team
June 30 → Build Night: get in a room, find collaborators, start building (you are here)
July 9 → Submission deadline: ship your project
July 30 → Awards ceremony at Capital Factory + virtual
HOW THE NIGHT WORKS ────────────
5:30 PM → Welcome remarks, the challenge tracks, judging criteria
6:00 PM → Open build: start your project, ask questions, get unstuck
8:00 PM → Wrap
WHO THIS IS FOR ────────────
Designers, researchers, marketers, social workers, lawyers, artists, educators, students, and engineers. Anyone with an idea who wants teammates, feedback, and a reason to actually start. Solo builders welcome too, you might leave with a team.
WHY THIS EXISTS ────────────
This summer, Austin AI Hub is co-hosting Call for Code AI: United Against Trafficking, a global hackathon in partnership with UN Human Rights and Call for Code AI. The mission: build AI tools that detect, disrupt, and respond to human trafficking. Hackathon projects are stronger when you're not building alone, so we're getting builders in one room before the deadline.
ABOUT AITX COMMUNITY ────────────
We're co-hosting with AITX Community, a Texas community of AI engineers, entrepreneurs, and builders with chapters in Austin, Houston, and Dallas. Since 2022 they've hosted demos from 50+ startups and companies like NVIDIA, Google, Meta, and Cloudflare.
