[Webinar] Inspiration Valley - Bernardo Melotti
For the upcoming webinar organized in collaboration between Silicon Valley Study Tour and Lead The Future Mentorship, Bernardo Melotti will share his life as a Undergraduate Researcher @ Stanford.
Bernardo Melotti began his research journey while still in high school, working with Professor Khaled Abdelazim at Harvard University as part of the Whitesides Group.
After graduating high school, Bernardo was admitted to Stanford University, where he is pursuing a degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
He began research in the Appel Lab, developing controlled, long-term drug delivery systems supported by an Undergraduate Research grant.
In 2025, he led Stanford’s team at the International Genetically Engineered Machine competition, earning a gold medal and recognition among the top undergraduate oncology projects worldwide.
Bernardo currently conducts research in Professor Zhenan Bao’s group at Stanford, focusing on the development of stretchable, bistable bioelectronic systems for deep-brain interfacing. His work centers on microfabrication and materials for scalable production of implants.
This summer he’ll be joining Science Corp as a Microfabrication Engineer intern.
Learn more about Bernardo’s journey during our webinar on April 14th.
