Teaser
Europe doesn’t lack deep-tech innovation—it lacks repeatable scaling outcomes in the technologies that will define industrial leadership this decade. In AI, advanced semiconductors, quantum technologies, industrial biotech, and next-generation energy systems, global leaders are pulling ahead rapidly. In many areas, Europe trails by a factor of 5–10 in capital, compute, manufacturing depth, or platform control. The key question is no longer how to copy foreign venture models—it’s how to scale uniquely European deep tech to global impact.

Why is this topic relevant?
Europe’s challenge is no longer invention—it lacks the ability to scale in critical deep-tech fields. Time is the constraint: AI infrastructure, advanced packaging, quantum hardware, and industrial biotech will define global relevance in the decades to come. Incremental improvements won’t close a 10× gap; selective focus and coordinated capability-building are essential. Stakes are rising: deep tech now directly determines industrial competitiveness, energy security, resilience, and geopolitical autonomy—especially compared to coordinated (yet also authoritarian) models like China’s.

The session will take place on the COLABORA Planet at VENTURE SPRIND 2026, held at Futurium in Berlin. You will need a VENTURE SPRIND ticket to enter the venue and attend the session.
If you don’t have one yet but are an active investor, just drop us a line at [email protected] - there’s a good chance we can sort you out with a ticket. Availability is limited.
