From YYC to Silicon Valley: The Journey to Building a Billion Dollar Tech Company
Save the date. TKS is teaming up with FJ Yang, Co-Founder and CEO of Imply, for the keynote talk of the century.
FJ will be coming to share his story — from growing up in Calgary to building a billion-dollar tech company in the Bay Area. He’ll talk about the real journey behind it all: the risks, the breakthroughs, and the lessons he picked up along the way. Whether you’re into startups, tech, or just curious about how big ideas come to life, this is a chance to hear from someone who's done it.
We will also be serving pizza at this event 🍕
More about TKS
The Knowledge Society (TKS) is a 10-month innovation program for ambitious teenagers who are interested in using emerging tech/science to solve the world's biggest problems. Alumni from this program have built there own venture-backed startups and worked for top companies including Open AI, NASA, Tesla, Microsoft, etc. TKS has an in-person location in Calgary, where students show up weekly to learn new skills and build projects in fields that are interesting to them, with the goal of building a portfolio of projects to help students achieve unconventional outcomes.
