In a world of endless scrolling and same-day deliveries, the department store could have faded quietly into the background. Yet, the Selfridges Group has done quite the opposite. It has turned shopping into spectacle and retail into runway, offering a bold statement about the future of consumer experience. Selfridges Groups’ department stores do not just sell products – they stage a point of view. At the forefront of this evolution is André Maeder, Group CEO and a long-standing figure in global luxury retail. With decades of experience at Harrods, HUGO BOSS  and KaDeWe Group, André brings operational depth, a lifelong-learning attitude and a future-forward mindset. By balancing showmanship with strategy, he is orchestrating a transformation across Selfridges Group’s global portfolio, rethinking not just how we shop, but why we shop. Selfridges Group: What’s in Store? lifts the curtain on what it takes to reinvent retail at scale, offering a rare chance to hear directly from the individual tasked with shaping the future of high-end experiential retail. The conversation will explore how André and Selfridges Group are navigating shifting consumer values and ensuring that physical retail not only survives but thrives in an increasingly digital world.

The event will begin with a 20-minute keynote address by André, which will then be followed by a 50-minute interview moderated by the Director of Voiceroom before ending with an audience Q&A. During this final Q&A segment, we kindly ask that you keep your questions concise, respectful and relevant to the discussion. Please be aware that, by attending this event, you may be captured in photography or film footage.
