What is Value Stream Mapping (VSM)?
VSM is designed to help teams achieve a specific business outcome by improving work processes.
In a series of group mapping activities, teams visualize the flow of work from start to finish, identify inefficiencies, delays, and waste. The team uses what they’ve learned to create a roadmap of measurable improvement actions, in service of delivering more value to the customer.
Originally developed at Toyota in the 1940s, value stream mapping helps teams visualize workflows to eliminate waste and deliver value faster. More info.

Why Now?
We’re hosting this meetup on the eve of Fast Flow Conf London, the perfect moment to start a conversation about faster, higher-quality software delivery. While the conference brings the big ideas, this workshop gives you a hands-on experience with Value Stream Mapping you can bring back to your teams and apply immediately.
Our hosts, Projective Group:
Projective Group belongs to an elite group of companies that recognize the impact of Value Stream Mapping in business results and they are kind enough to host this meetup in their rooftop offices in central London!
Established in 2006, Projective Group is a leading financial services change specialist, with expertise across dedicated divisions in data, payments, risk & compliance and transformation.
About Miguel Dias (DevOps and Value Stream Mapping Consultant):
I’m a Software Engineer with over five years of experience, building and scaling systems for large companies, startups, and a nonprofit.
I spent 2024 leading Value Stream Mapping initiatives at Relex, a global SaaS company, involving individual teams, multiple teams, and an entire technology department.
I’ve partnered with these teams to increase revenue by onboarding customers faster, preventing service disruptions, delivering value 2x more often, and wasting less time due to misalignment and lack of clarity.
A thought leader in the Value Stream Mapping and DevOps space, I’m actively engaged with the international community, and currently launching my own consultancy in Berlin.
About Ana Nikolova (Agile & DevOps Capability Lead):
I’m a business and technology innovation consultant at Projective Group, a pan-European consultancy helping financial services organisations turn complex change into lasting results. With over a decade of experience across financial services, utilities, and the public sector, I specialise in guiding organisations through transformation without losing their delivery timelines—or their sanity.
I’ve led initiatives ranging from AI pilots to global KYC transformations and enterprise-wide agile adoption, From launching AI pilots to leading global KYC transformations, wearing many hats along the way: Delivery Lead, Agile Coach, Product Owner.
Most recently, I’ve applied Value Stream Mapping to bridge the gap between business and technology, helping leadership teams see where delivery slows down and where value is lost. By making these bottlenecks visible, I’ve enabled organisations to accelerate time-to-market, reduce wasted effort, and create alignment across functions that rarely speak the same language.
