POSTPONED: Sabathani x Change Narrative Community Storytelling Workshop
Join Sabathani Community and Change Narrative for a Community Storytelling Workshop to discover and craft your climate and environmental justice story—and the “why” behind your care.
No prior storytelling experience is necessary. We will work together to draft first-person stories that speak to identity, culture, lived experiences, and the vibrant future we envision. With the goal of building confidence to use our voice to power solutions.
Participants will share a meal, learn about the power of storytelling to spark change, and hear about opportunities to lend their voices to Environmental Justice rulemaking in Minnesota. All participants will be invited to opt in to sharing their stories live on stage and to reunite in celebration of our collective voices at the January 31 Storytelling Slam (learn more here: https://luma.com/b53cinuz).
This event is hosted by Change Narrative LLC with community partners: Sabathani Community Center, San Pablo Community Church, in collaboration with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency
A small honorarium will be given at the end of this workshop to all participants in appreciation for being part of this effort to expand the climate and environmental justice conversation.

Acerca del evento
Únase a Sabathani Community y Change Narrative para un taller de narración comunitaria para descubrir y elaborar su historia de justicia climática y ambiental, y el "por qué" detrás de su cuidado.
No se requiere experiencia previa en narración. Trabajaremos juntos para crear historias en primera persona que reflejen la identidad, la cultura, las experiencias vividas y el futuro vibrante que imaginamos. Con el objetivo de generar confianza para usar nuestra voz e impulsar soluciones.
Los participantes compartirán una comida, aprenderán sobre el poder de la narración para impulsar el cambio y se enterarán de las oportunidades para contribuir a la elaboración de normas de justicia ambiental en Minnesota. Todos los participantes estarán invitados a compartir sus historias en vivo en el escenario y a reunirse para celebrar nuestras voces colectivas en el Storytelling Slam del 31 de enero (más información aquí: https://luma.com/b53cinuz).
