Oil Painting 2 Day Series - Still Life 5/23 & 5/30
Calling all aspiring painters! Welcome to Artskool, a curated oil painting class hosted at the artists residence in the equestrian district of Burbank.

🎨 For this 2 day series we'll be painting a still life, from life! We'll be painting the same set up, which will be arranged an lit before you arrive. We'll be painting at a much slower pace to allow us to create a more finished and detailed painting. We'll have a mix of items such as fruits, fabrics, and or a ceramic/metallic object for a mix of texture and color. Instruction and individual feedback will be provided plus I'll be live demoing alongside you the whole time. Intimate class size (6) so I can offer more individual feedback.
5/23 (Day 1) - We'll start sketching our still life and get a first pass of color in.
5/30 (Day 2) - More color mixing, refine what we already have and add final details to the painting.
👩🏽🎨 You'll learn the techniques of the Renaissance Masters as we create our very own masterpieces in the style of traditional realism. This is a great way to learn how to use oil paints and can serve as a jumping off point to develop your own unique style.
🖌️ We'll be using a 12x16 canvas and standing easels. All supplies provided.
🖼️ By the end of our time together you'll have a beautiful painting to take home with you!
Location
This is a private residence nestled in the equestrian neighborhood of Burbank. Plenty of street parking. Please enter through the brown gate which will be open 10 minutes before our start time.

About your instructor
Tanya has been working in film and advertising as an illustrator and storyboard artist for over 10 years. She studied oil painting at various studios in LA and Florence, Italy. Her goal is to share her love of painting with anyone who’s willing to try.
