About Event

Have you considered playing video games and reading short stories to help solve the climate crisis? As part of Sci X Sci-Fi 2026, join Yale Planetary Solutions for an interactive event at the Center for Collaborative Arts and Media (CCAM).

IndieCade founder and CEO Stephanie Barish and Grist Climate Fiction Creative Manager Tory Stephens will discuss how providing creative platforms for the expression of climate narratives is a key way to inspire people and give communities hope for a better future. The conversation will be moderated by Joyce Hsiang, Assistant Professor at the Yale School of Architecture and co-founder of the research and design studio, Plan B Architecture & Urbanism.

Following the discussion, which is open to the public, participants have the opportunity to play video games made available by IndieCade.

Refreshments will be provided.

Agenda:

5:30-6:15 PM Moderated discussion with Stephanie Barish and Tory Stephens in the Leeds Studio

6:15-7:15 PM Gameplay in the CCAM computer lab (space is limited)
