RW Blears is a law firm with decades of experience in advising on the full fundraising, investment and exit lifecycle, delivering sensible and commercial insight. They support a diversified and growing base of emerging and institutional fund managers with a particular focus on the formation, structuring and promotion of GP/LP funds, S/EIS funds, VCT offers and IHT/BPR strategies. The team also supports a range of investment managers, SME companies and entrepreneurs in all manner of transactions, including multi-series fundraising rounds and growth investments, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance and restructuring.
In this masterclass, the RW Blears team will take founders behind the scenes of the Series A diligence process, explaining how investors evaluate a company’s legal and structural readiness. They will cover what a “clean” cap table and document set look like, how to organise an effective data room, and the governance issues that most often trigger red flags. The session will give founders a clear, practical roadmap for preparing their company for a smooth and successful Series A raise.
