Sun Print Workshop (Designer Crafting Social)
Join Climate Designers Toronto for a fun summer print-making workshop in the park!
We will be making eco-friendly Anthotype prints using turmeric and foraged materials. The event will take place over an afternoon, with plenty of opportunities to also relax, chat, and connect with other participants while taking part in this creative activity. Participants will take home a unique 8” x 10” print from the event ready to keep, display, or transform into a new art piece. No supplies are necessary and all materials are provided - but we recommend sunscreen!

🕰 2pm-5pm
2:00–2:15 Welcome & introductions
2:15–2:55 Prepare printing solution & paper
2:55–3:20 Nature walk & forage for print supplies
3:20–3:40 Print drying & socialization
3:40–4:00 Create compositions
4:00–4:40 Sun exposure + picnic, games, or discussion **Prints take a minimum of 40 min to show up with contrast, but an hour is best. The remaining 20 min is for flex time :)
4:40–5:00 Reveal prints & wrap-up
What to Bring
Required
An apron or clothes you don't mind staining (turmeric can permanently stain fabric)
Water bottle/water
A picnic blanket or something comfortable to sit on
A snack/lunch not for sharing ** provide list of allergens to avoid

A hat

A notebook or sketchbook for social/downtime
