About Event

Join us at Cafe Santo in Montebello for a relaxed, beginner-friendly ceramic handbuilding workshop.

Cafe Santo was founded by Pilar and Marlon as a space to gather the community around art, food, music, and culture — and this pop-up brings that spirit into clay. Together, we’ll spend the afternoon creating functional ceramic pieces while enjoying great coffee and good company.

You’ll learn the basics of handbuilding and create your own piece — choose from a mug, tumbler, snack plate, catch-all dish, or small altar/candle holder. No experience needed. You’ll get step-by-step guidance while still having the freedom to make something that feels like you. Need some inspiration, check this out!

All materials are included, and I’ll handle the glazing and kiln firing. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in 6–8 weeks.

Pottery is a slow, multi-step process — pieces must fully dry before their first firing, then be glazed and fired again. Each stage takes time and care, which is part of what makes handmade ceramics so special. Thank you for honoring the process.

Coffee & snacks sold separately — check out the full (and delicious!) menu here ☕️

Come make something by hand, meet new people, and support a space rooted in culture and community.
