Water & Climate: Rethinking Solutions for a Sustainable Future | Climate Council Ambassador Speaker Series
What happens to water infrastructure when the climate it was designed for no longer exists? And how much clean water are we still flushing away for no good reason?
Droughts, floods and rising demand are stretching water systems everywhere, from fast-growing cities in West Africa to new housing in the US. The good news is that practical answers already exist. They range from circular water systems and greywater reuse to seaweed farms that need no farmland or freshwater. In this first session of the Climate Council Ambassador Speaker Series, three practitioners share how they’re rethinking water solutions and what it takes to scale them.
Join us for a fireside-chat panel bringing together 3 experts to unpack how we design, reuse and grow from water in a changing climate.
Panellists:
David Ewusi-Mensah, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Eco Amet Solutions
Steven Sarver Sr., Owner, PetHabitats
Sean McNeill, Founder and CEO, Zenco Group
Time & Date: Wednesday 11 November 2026 @ 16:00 CET (15:00 GMT / 10:00 EST)
Platform: Live here on Circle
Cost: FREE for registered participants
What We’ll Cover
Designing resilient water systems for a changing climate: how circular water and climate-resilient infrastructure can hold up under floods, droughts and growing demand
Separating black water and grey water in new construction: why the building-design stage is the cheapest moment to make water reuse possible, and what gets in the way
Seaweed as a crop: how marine biomass can regenerate ocean ecosystems and feed bioenergy and sustainable fuels without competing for arable land or freshwater
Where the biggest opportunities are for startups, investors and industry to act now
Who Should Attend
Founders building in water, wastewater, built environment or blue economy solutions
Investors looking at climate adaptation, water and marine biomass opportunities
Engineers, architects, developers and infrastructure professionals
Corporate and public sector teams working on water resilience or circularity
Live Q&A
Bring your questions. After the talks, you’ll have time to put them to the panel directly, and the conversation will carry on in a discussion thread here on Circle.
Your Hosts
David Ewusi-Mensah is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Eco Amet Solutions. He’s an environmental engineer who works on water and wastewater management, WASH, circular water systems and infrastructure that can stand up to a changing climate.
Steven Sarver Sr. is the owner of PetHabitats and has spent more than 40 years in construction, energy management, environmental systems and industrial water reuse. He’s a strong advocate for separating grey water and black water at the design stage, so buildings can reuse water far more efficiently. Lately he’s also been developing sustainable pet-waste solutions, including flushable products that keep pet waste out of landfill.
Sean McNeill is Founder and CEO of Zenco Group, a renewable energy company working on marine biomass and seaweed-based solutions for bioenergy and sustainable fuels. His work looks at seaweed as a resource that needs no arable land or freshwater, and that helps marine ecosystems regenerate at the same time.
