What is the future of AI in film & TV, and how could it affect investors?

Generative AI is reshaping film/ TV through speeding up writing support, dubbing, VFX, and lowering costs, while raising big questions about credit, jobs, and consent.

Unions pushed new guardrails so studios can’t use AI to replace writers or actors’ faces voices without permission and pay, and courts lawmakers are still sorting out copyright and training-data rules. There is a huge efficiency upside, but legal, ethical, and trust risks if creators aren’t protected.

Today the film market is slow, hit-driven, and margin-thin, can AI make it more tech-enabled content play allwoing for better profitability?

Sébastien Janin is a French media executive (ex-Canal+/Studiocanal, ex-Apple where he launched film services in 180 countries). He co-founded Media Musketeers Studios in 2019 with Andy Docherty, Chris Law, and Patrick Swiderski, who as Managing Partner & General Director brings deep expertise in financing (banking, credit, real-assets, securitisation) to the company.

Media Musketeers produces, finances, and distributes high-end scripted television with international resonance. On its slate : Un Prophète — a Canal+ Original 8-episode series, co-produced with CPB Films, UGC, Orange Studio and others, premiered in official selection at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival; Faithless (2 seasons already) — a 6-episode comedy-drama created by Baz Ashmawy; Pulse — a survival thriller; The Paradise (3 Seasons); The Man Who Died — which has been commissioned for a second season; Essex County; and other ambitious projects in development.

Under their leadership, Media Musketeers has secured major slate financing (notably via Entourage Ventures and HulaHoop), enabling a pipeline of up to eight premium series per year. The company also provides development funding, gap finance, distribution advances, and prides itself on financial and editorial transparency.
