About Event

AI Squared is a machine learning tournament run by the University of Toronto Machine Intelligence Student Team (UTMIST). The tournament centers around participants in groups of up to 4 competing to design the best machine learning agent in an in-house made platform fighting game. This will be an 8 day event running from October 25 to November 2, with in-person events on the first and last day, along with drop-in in-person work and networking sessions running throughout the week. Opening day will have networking opportunities along with workshops such as introduction to reinforcement learning. There will be full virtual support for those attending online, and tournament coding will be conducted asynchronously until submission (November 1 at 11:59 pm). The final day will consist of a double-elimination bracket of the top agents, industry/academia panels and speakers, as well as an award ceremony.
