OUTbio Seattle presents: "Heightened Scrutiny" Screening and Fundraiser

​Join OUTbio Seattle for an evening of film, conversation, and community in support of transgender youth, hosted in collaboration with Justice for Girls Coalition* and Queer Power Alliance.

​We’ll screen Heightened Scrutiny, a documentary following ACLU attorney Chase Strangio—the first openly transgender person to argue before the U.S. Supreme Court—as he challenges Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for transgender youth. The film explores the role of media coverage in shaping public understanding of trans lives and the fight for trans rights.

​Stay after the film for a panel discussion connecting its themes to our communities here in Washington, with opportunities to learn more and get involved.

​Tickets are free, but donations to No Hate in WA State are encouraged if you’re able. Suggested donations are $15 for adults and $5 for youth. You can donate here.

All donations support their effort to defeat ballot initiatives IL26-001 and IL26-638 and protect the safety, privacy, and well-being of Washington’s young people. .
