About

Faces of Crypto is a monthly interview series held on the First Friday of each month at Hello Again Cafe in Chinatown. Featuring everyday folks — creatives, entrepreneurs, policymakers and people you would not typically associate with "crypto" or "blockchain" but are passionate about leveraging these technologies in their work, projects or business.

Sponsored by Stand With Crypto, a national crypto advocacy nonprofit, this series is organized by Inoa, a Hawaii-based blockchain technology consulting and education firm.

Registration required for admission. Free drink for the first 20 registered guests on-site!

Our Guest (February)

Spearheading the development of digital asset legislation in Hawaii's state government, Senator Jarrett Keohokalole, Assistant Majority Whip and Chair of the Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee (CPN) will be joining us as our guest for February.

In 2023, Senator Keohokalole introduced and successfully passed Hawaii's first crypto bill*. His efforts and forward-thinking approach to balance consumer protection and innovation is recognized and applauded by Hawaii's crypto community. Join us in this conversation with the Senator to hear his thoughts on innovation and digital asset policy, why it matters for Hawaii and his run for 1st Congressional District in 2026.

Senator Keohokalole is a proud seventh-generation resident of the 24th Senate District, including Kāne‘ohe and Kailua.

He also serves as a member of the Hawaiian Affairs (HWN) and Transportation, Culture and the Arts Committees (TCA), and is the Co-Chair of the Native Hawaiian Caucus.

Sen. Keohokalole received a B.A. from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa and a law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. He is married to his wife Ku‘ulani and, together, they have three children.

*The bill was ultimately vetoed by Governor Josh Green and did not go into effect.
