Before the Title: An Interactive Art Experience
Adults walk in with titles: founder, teacher, nurse, artist, parent, student, manager, creator, worker, leader.
But before the title, there was a person with imagination.
Before the Title is a free hybrid interactive art experience that invites participants to reconnect with creativity, memory, and identity through community storytelling and AI-assisted visual art.
At the in-person kickoff, guests will scan a QR code and submit a word, phrase, memory, sound, feeling, or creative prompt through a custom digital interface. Each submission will be transformed through a custom AI-assisted creative workflow into a unique downloadable artwork connected to the event’s central theme.
Throughout the day, online participants will also be able to join the experience remotely and create their own themed artwork.
What to Expect:
🎭 The Prompt: Respond to one central question: Who were you before the title? Submit a word, phrase, memory, sound, feeling, or creative idea through the event’s custom interface.
🎨 The Transformation: Your input becomes a unique AI-assisted visual artwork connected to the shared theme of the experience.
📲 The Download: Each participant receives a downloadable artwork they helped create.
🎬 The Collective Story: Selected submissions will be curated into a short film telling a larger story shaped by the voices, memories, and imagination of the community.
🌐 Hybrid Participation: The in-person kickoff takes place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newark ArtSpace, with refreshments provided. Online participation will remain open throughout the day.
Guests who attend the in-person kickoff will receive priority consideration for inclusion in the final short film, event website, and social media features.
This is not just an event you attend.
This is a story you help create.
