Before the Title: An Interactive Art Experience

​Adults walk in as the CEO, the nurse, the founder. They leave as the kid who used to draw, dance, and dream.

​"Before the Title" is a free interactive art experience for Newark's working adults who lost their creative side to the grind. Every adult once created freely — they drew, painted, wrote poems, danced, made music. Then adulthood happened. This event creates space to remember.

​What to Expect:

​🎭 The Unmasking — Answer one question: "What did you love creating before the world told you to be practical?" A facilitator helps you reconnect with that memory.

​🎨 The Expression — Choose your medium. AI art generation transforms your words into visual art in real time. A freeform painting station offers canvases, brushes, and no rules. A spoken word mic invites anyone to share. Live music sets the mood.

​🖼️ The Wall — Every piece goes up on a shared community wall. No names. No job titles. No credentials. Just art. Each participant takes home a free printed piece they helped create.

​This is not a show you watch. This is art you make.
