Echoes of Light Opening Reception
Join us on January 24th for the opening reception of Echoes of Light!
In 2025, 18 pavilions around the world hosted the Gaza Biennale, presenting the work of 50 Palestinian artists who continued to create amidst genocide and displacement.
This January, Minara is proud to host Echoes of Light, a two-week homage to the Gaza Biennale. The exhibition features prints and posters for sale and a select number of works from the Biennale on display. Proceeds from print sales go directly to support participating artists in or displaced from Gaza.
Disclaimer: Select works this evening will include graphic imagery and nudity.
Over the following two weeks, you are invited to stop by Minara to continue to experience the exhibition, take part in art workshops, artist talks, and film screenings co-hosted with the Biennale.
About Echoes of Light
With the attempted total destruction of Gaza, its people, land, and culture, contemporary artists in Gaza have resisted this fate through the creation of a prolific body of work. It is nothing short of a miracle, with death all around, under all threats imaginable, artists in Gaza have been working. But what kind of beauty can emerge from genocide? There are messages hidden in this work, a light to guide us towards another path. If a future for humanity is salvageable, the work of these artists, surviving the worst of what humanity is capable of, must be an essential resource. Echoes of Light posits that creativity and imagination are powerful tools against destruction and despair. Most importantly, Echoes of Light is an invitation to bear witness, sit with grief, and create.

This event is free and open to all. We invite those who are able to make a $20 suggested donation (or more!) to help sustain Minara and the care, labor, and resources that make this space possible.
