Lit Walk Discusses: The Contemplative Life [EN]
’Is the life of the mind it’s own reward?’ - J.M Coetzee
In this edition of the Lit Walk, we take a look at the contemplative life (whatever that might mean to you) and ponder whether or not a life of the mind still retains any value/merit in an age that is drifting ever further into the domain of post-literacy.
Bring your essays, short stories, diary entries, philosophical fragments, poems, musings and any other literary artefacts that you might have on hand and read them aloud with others in one of Warsaw's finest public spaces.
Reading from a printed text is encouraged, but of course reading from a phone is not a problem. Dropping in to listen is also perfectly fine as well!
Meeting point: in front of Restauracja Rozdroże 1974. The walk will begin in earnest at 14:10.
A limited amount of coffee will be served from a thermos, free of charge.
Free event. Conducted in English.
Texts in other languages are very welcome, but please bring an English translation.
