TWC Book Club: End Times Fascism
The TWC Book Club is back with a series of sessions to read End Times Fascism by Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor. In this, book the authors address how billionaire tech barons are increasingly embracing the idea that the world is going to collapse and only a selected few will survive. This new form of fascism comes from an unexpected reconstruction of ideas around Silicon Valley tech ideology, libertarianism and religious fundamentalists, and this book is a good place to understand what it means for our future and how to counter it.
We'll be reading this book in chunks to make it easier to follow along. For this meeting, we will be discussing the introduction and part 1 (messianic dreams). Please read these chapters prior to attending the meeting! Next sessions to go through the three remaining parts will be on Nov 4th, Nov 25th and Dec 9th.

This event is open to everyone who's interested in learning more about labour organizing! You do not have to be a tech worker or be part of TWC Canada to participate.
