☕ Moka Hour with Karavela
Hello everyone,
On Wednesday, April 15th, Moka Hour is back with a new “off-site” edition.
For those new to it, Moka Hour is a friendly meetup bringing together a small group of entrepreneurs and curious minds — all over a great cup of coffee.
This session will be hosted by Karavela in Paris.
Karavela is an Inria spin-off founded by Alexis Thual, Charles Maussion, and Bertrand Thirion, with the mission of decoding the brain to enable smarter and more equitable neuro care for all.
📌 Topic: Reflecting on Karavela’s first year with its founders
Karavela successfully raised its first round with Daphni in May 2025. During this session, we’ll look back at the team’s unique journey — including Bertrand Thirion’s transition from Scientific Director of the Inria Saclay Center to entrepreneurship — their fundraising experience, and the realities of their first year building the company.
