DesignX Holiday Social: Archetypes & Reflections
This year, we’re ending things with a warm, low-key evening for the DesignX community: good people, drinks, and your first chance to experience the DLS Archetype system outside the summit.
We’re opening up our Archetypes to the wider community so you can:
Discover your default “driving gear” on a team (as an IC or leader)
spot areas to grow in 2026
Identify the kinds of collaborators who bring out your best
Notice which skills to double down on, and which ones to intentionally build
All of that, wrapped in what’s essentially a holiday social to celebrate 2025 and get a little excited about the year ahead.
What to expect
Over the course of the evening (5:30–9:30 PM), you can:
Arrive when you like, grab a drink, and ease into conversation. First drink is on us.
Get your Archetype snapshot based on a short pre-event form
Learn which Archetype tends to drive you by default when you’re on a team
See your “growth edges” and which complementary Archetypes you might want around you
Meet other designers with similar or opposite Archetype profiles and compare how you each show up at work
Mostly: enjoy a cozy room of DesignX people, reflecting on the year and looking toward 2026 together
This is not a workshop, not a lecture, and not group therapy. It’s a holiday social with a really good conversation starter built in.
About the DesignX Archetypes
If you’ve been curious about the Archetype language we use at the Design Leadership Summit, this is your opportunity to experience it firsthand.
Our Archetype system gives you:
a simple way to describe how you actually operate on a team
a lens on where you naturally add value
and a gentle mirror for what you might want to evolve next

We’ll generate your Archetype snapshot and have it ready for you at the door
You show up between 5:30 and 9:30 PM, hang out, chat, and let the Archetypes do some of the social heavy lifting
Spots will be limited so the room stays cozy and conversation-friendly.
