About Event

Climate Innovation Pulse is designed as a space for alumni of the YCI Incubator and Accelerator to reconnect, exchange insights, and continue learning from fellow climate entrepreneurs across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, and MENA.

This session will feature Hasan Jaafar, a renewable energy entrepreneur and founder of a climate innovation startup, YY ReGen, focused on renewable energy and sustainable agriculture for rural communities in Lebanon.

In this keynote and fireside discussion, Hasan will share his entrepreneurial journey: from leaving a corporate role in the energy sector to launching a climate venture that now deploys solar and biogas solutions for rural farmers. Over the past five years, his company has grown from two founders to a team of 14 employees, implemented more than a dozen renewable energy projects, and secured over $250,000 in grant funding while building a scalable business model.

The conversation will explore how climate entrepreneurs can navigate the early stages of venture creation, validate their product with real users, and adapt their business model to meet the needs of underserved communities.

Participants will learn about:

  • The process of identifying product–market fit in climate innovation

  • The role of continuous validation and iteration in building climate ventures.

The session aims to inspire early-stage entrepreneurs while offering practical insights on building resilient climate businesses in emerging markets.
