Conversation & workshop: Working with the audience's bodies as material
What responsibility do we have as artists when we work with the bodies of our audience? When the body is the material, consent and care become part of the artwork itself.
A moving conversation exploring the ethics and practice of somatic art moderated by Karo Hall, followed by a live performance.
Speakers:
Lundahl & Seitl, an artist duo that have developed a method and an art form comprising staging, choreographed movement, instructions, and immersive technologies, juxtaposed with material objects and the human ability to organize perception into a world.
Gabriel Widing, an artist and game designer interested in performance, play and participation. Co-author of the book Deltagarkultur (2008).
Olle Bjerkås, a sculptor and visionary designer whose practice spans large-scale public sculpture, immersive environments and ritual-like installations, generative digital art, experimental musical instruments, and community-driven cultural projects.
