This month, Design Study Group is swapping our usual café meetup for a relaxed summer picnic at Central Park in Burnaby. Instead of presentations and portfolios, we're focusing on something just as important: community, creativity, and meaningful conversations.
Whether you're a designer, developer, product thinker, creative professional, or simply someone looking to connect with like-minded people, you're welcome to join us.
Come enjoy the sunshine, meet familiar and new faces, and take a moment to reflect on the year so far. We'll have a few light activities to get things started, but there's absolutely no pressure to participate—just show up and enjoy the afternoon.

🌱 Mid-Year Reflection
A casual conversation about where we are now, what we've learned so far this year, and what we'd like to accomplish before the year ends.
🎨 Creative Corner
Scrapbooking, bookmark making, sketching, journaling, or simply relaxing on the grass. No experience required.
🧺 Picnic & Social Time
Bring your own lunch, snacks, or drinks and enjoy a laid-back afternoon with the community.
🎲 Lawn Games
Bring a game if you have one, or just bring yourself. We'll have plenty of opportunities to chat, play, and connect.
📍 Getting There
Meet at Patterson Station at 11:00 AM and we'll walk to Central Park together.
