Taxidermy Demonstration & Drawing Workshop with Gotham Taxidermy and NYC Plover Project

​Join us on Friday, December 12 at 6:00pm for a collaborative Taxidermy Demonstration & Drawing workshop led Gotham Taxidermy, in partnership with NYC Plover Project, at the Arverne East Nature Preserve's Coastal Conservation Center! 

​Watch and learn about the intricate process of preserving animals, a combination of art and science. After a demonstration of this practice, attendees will then work with taxidermy and study skins as inspiration to create unique drawings.

​This will help us see birds with deeper appreciation and reverence for their artistry and anatomy. No previous birding or artistic experience is required-all are welcome! Light refreshments will be available.
