Signature Gathering Kickoff for Connect Bay Area Transit
To avoid devastating Bay Area transit service cuts, we need to gather over 200,000 signatures to get Connect Bay Area Transit, the five-county regional transit funding measure, on the ballot.
A diverse coalition of electeds, labor, business, and transit advocates from across Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and San Francisco counties has come together to make this measure possible. Let’s start our signature gathering campaign strong!
This is our all-hands-on-deck moment: we're kicking off signature gathering with a day of action on Friday, Jan 23 with events throughout the Bay Area, carrying petitions via transit to signature training kickoff events in all five counties:
10 am at Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco
12:15 pm at Alameda County Admin Building in Oakland
12:30 pm at Pleasant Hill BART in Contra Costa
12:45 pm at Courthouse Sq. in Redwood City
1:15 pm at San Jose Diridon Station
Each kickoff will feature speakers and signature gathering training before spreading out in the local community to start collecting signatures. The day will start in San Francisco, after which we will fan out via public transit to four concurrent kickoffs in San Mateo, Santa Clara, Contra Costa, and Alameda counties.
After you RSVP, we'll send you a link to join our Slack instance if you want to get involved with organizing and chat with other advocates and volunteers--as well as other ways to connect and get started!
