About Event

This panel is being organised on the sidelines of India’s Global AI Summit (18–20 February 2026), which brings together global leaders across government, academia, industry, and civil society to shape an inclusive AI ecosystem. The discussion aims to explore how AI can reach the most underserved learners — particularly those in government schools across several States where limited resources, weak internet access, and even intermittent electricity remain significant barriers.

Objective of the Discussion:
To examine how India can make AI education and AI-enabled learning tools truly accessible to every child, irrespective of geography or means, and to chart collaborative pathways including government systems, technology providers, social sector organisations, and local communities.

Key Discussion Areas:

·        The Problem: Persistent inequity in access to foundational digital infrastructure — electricity, devices, internet connectivity — which limits exposure to digital learning, let alone AI-based education.

·        The Opportunity: AI literacy integrated early can help build future-ready skills and bridge the learning gap between public and private schooling ecosystems.

·        The Challenge: Making AI adoption contextually relevant, safe, and sustainable in low-resource settings.

·        The Way Forward: Multi-stakeholder initiatives that combine government vision, industry innovation, and nonprofit implementation expertise.

Expected Outcomes:

·        Identification of scalable pilots or models for AI learning access in resource-constrained government schools.

·        Mapping of potential partners — public and private — that can contribute technology, content, or capacity-building.

·        Policy pointers for integrating AI inclusion goals within State education objectives.
