About Event

From insights to action: co-creating practical and transformative solutions to better support women and gender-diverse founders

This is the 2nd session in our 6-part Capital Conversations series, as part of the Capital Connect Program. Anonymized insights, resources, and ideas from all sessions will be shared publicly as a resource for the broader startup and innovation ecosystem.

What is it about?

Insights to Action Roundtable builds directly on our July Kickoff (Funding Pathways Collective Wisdom Roundtable), where we heard from women founders about their funding journey challenges--from structural barriers to information gaps to the mental load of fundraising. Now we're inviting ecosystem builders to turn insights into action.

📌 What to Expect: Join us for an online session with fellow funders, program managers, and ecosystem builders to:

  • Review key findings from the July founder dialogue

  • Share existing resources and explore ecosystem constraints

  • Explore “what if” when designing solutions together

🗣️Session Facilitators

⚠️ This isn't just a panel or debrief, it’s a working session designed to move from insights to action. Participants will leave with concrete next steps, new collaborations, and a shared commitment to change.

👉 Who This Session is For: Ecosystem service providers, funders, accelerator/incubator staff, government program managers, and anyone with decision-making influence over funding or founder support programs.

Given the intent of this session, we will prioritise ecosystem members who work directly with women and/or gender-diverse founders, and understand the barriers these groups face.

Please Note:

  • Attendance at July's session is not required to meaningfully participate.

  • Capacity: Spots are limited to 25-35 participants to ensure meaningful dialogue and capture collective insights.

  • Registration: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis—we'll respond within 3-4 business days to confirm your spot at the event.

The CapCons Series are part of the Capital Connect Program; the goal is to create space for founders and ecosystem builders to engage in candid community dialogues about both challenges and solutions for building strategic funding pathways in BC.
