Imran Siddiquee is a writer and filmmaker confronting systems of domination. Their writing on race, gender, and culture has been published widely, including in The Atlantic, Literary Hub, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Bloomberg News. Imran is the writer and director of three short films, including The Difference Between Us, which premiered at the 2023 BlackStar Film Festival and went on to screen at over a dozen festivals worldwide. They've received filmmaking grants and awards from MTV, Sundance Institute, Creator+, and People's Media Fund.
Most recently they served as the Chief Communications Officer at BlackStar Projects, the premiere organization uplifting Black, Brown, and Indigenous filmmakers globally.
